Update 8/02/18: Mona loves car rides and hikes! The longest car journey she has been on was 13 hours (with rest stops). She also loves all people and most other dogs. She has also lived with cats peacefully. Mona is a sweet girl who puts all her trust in humans. We would love for Mona to find the right home with people who can take her training to the next level.
Mona is an adoptable deaf bully who is looking for a loving home with someone who will cherish her and always keep her safe.
From her current caregiver: Mona came into our lives as a stray. We decided to foster her until we found her owners, however no one claimed her. We soon realized she was deaf and all her quirks made sense! No wonder she was such a sound sleeper! She now knows stay, sit, come and go to bed, however we realized hand signals can only be done close by since her vision is very impaired.
Mona is crate trained and house trained and loves every person she meets. She also loves car rides! Mona loves to play with dogs however not all dogs want to play with her. Like many young dogs, she doesn’t always get the hint that older dogs do not want to play. Therefore her dog buddies should ideally be younger, full of spunk and more on the submissive side. She could benefit from a carefully chosen dog friend since she loves finding a new friend and following them around to pick up cues about her surroundings. Overall, Mona is a love bug who wants a good snuggle and someone who will take her training to the next step!
