Meet adoptable deaf catahoula dog Millie who was saved from Hurricane Harvey and she is looking for a loving new home where she will be cherished and kept safe. She will need a person committed to positive reinforcement training methods so she can be the best dog she can be.

From Austin Pets Alive: This lovely girl should be renamed Eliza Doolittle! She is GORGEOUS and needs a fur-ever home with either an experienced owner of deaf dogs OR someone who has the money, patience, passion and time to transform this beauty as Audrey Hepburn was in My Fair Lady! She appears to be a purebred Catahoula but that’s my opinion. She is a rescue from Hurricane Harvey.

No one has come forward to claim her and in two weeks she will officially be up for adoption with Austin Pets Alive! She is loving and gives licks freely. She is regal and will follow you everywhere and then lay down like a princess at your feet. A true show stopper. Strangers stop to admire her. Someone commented that she looks like she’d be a dog model on a white sofa in an upscale magazine! Yes, she’s that stunning. She doesn’t seem to have any training. She was either left in a backyard to fend for herself or was on the street surviving somehow. It’s time someone with experience and passion take this sweet girl in.

She will make an awesome, loyal, loving pet. She is heart-worm positive but the rescue Austin Pets Alive will treat once she is adopted. She is great around my cats and learning to respect boundaries with my two older dogs. She is young so has some youthful energy and would probably enjoy a canine brother or sister to romp around with.
