Meet deaf girl Lucy who is looking for a loving home with someone who will cherish her and always keep her safe. She is great with big dogs, small dogs, cats, chickens, horses, and children!

Update 12/16/18: From Melanie: My husband’s health has taken a sharp decline. I am faced with the horrible decision to take her back to the shelter. That would be tragic for her. I need to get her placed quickly but must be the right placement. The places on her head are scabbed areas. My husband who has recently been diagnosed with dementia forgot my pig, who hates dogs, was out. He let Lucy out and unfortunately she didn’t see or hear the pig coming and got attacked. Has 3 healing wounds on her face, one on her chin, and one on her rib area. She really needs a loving and safe home where we don’t have to worry about her getting out and getting hurt.

Meet our Deaf Dogs Rock Star of The Day adoptable deaf dog Lucy who is looking for a loving home with someone who will lover her and always keep her safe.

Lucky Lucy was in sad shape when Animal Control stepped in. She is now healed and ready for her forever family. I am her foster mom. She knows basic commands, is reliably housebroken (we are home all day), and loves to play. She responds to the porch light at night. Lucy, as we call her, loves affection, does well with kids, other dogs, and will chase the occasional cat.

She would do better with same sized dogs or bigger because she loves to play but plays rough. The smallest of our pack is a 3 pound chihuahua and the largest is a 160 pound Great Dane. She gets along w everyone. The Dane has shown her how to enjoy being a dog. We live on a farm. She will chase chickens. I take her with me to bring up the goats. No chase then. I think she thinks they are dogs. She doesn’t bother the donkeys or horses. Consider this girl. She will make your heart melt.

Lucy’s adoption fee is $150.
