Meet adoptable deaf, 3 year old bully mix Liberty who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will be her new best friend and always keep her safe. She is nervous around unpredictable children so an adult only home would be best for her. She is house trained, crate trained, good with other dogs and good with cats (just nervous around the kidos).

From her caregiver: Hey friends!
Sadly, our family has been faced with a serious chronic illness situation in the last year that has completely turned our lives upside down. In addition to the illness, we have to travel for treatment, as we live in a very remote location. Our sweet dog has been spending a good bit of her time at the babysitter and with a super friendly foster family. Unfortunately there is no end in sight to our situation and, while it has been a tough decision, we have decided to try to find her a new, stable home. Believe me when I tell you that this decision was not made lightly, we have had dogs for many many years, and have never had to re-home one. The search started about 10 weeks ago locally, but my dear friend, the behavior specialist at our local SPCA, recommended that I share our situation with the deaf dog community, as we continue to try to find Liberty a new home. We are located in South Florida.

Libs is a dream dog! She’s 3 and super healthy, energetic and friendly. She’s about 65- 70 lbs and is a pit-mix, though she’s more sleek than stocky. Other dogs are her favorite people, and real people are a close second!! She’s wary of children. PLEASE try to help us find a new situation for her. I’d be oh so forever grateful.
Libby is deaf, but is a 100% interactive and responsive dog. So it’s easy to forget. Until you’re standing behind her calling her name.
She is fully up-to-date on her shots and healthcare.
