Meet sweet adoptable deaf dog Leon who is looking for a loving home with someone who will make his training a priority and always keep him safe.
From the shelter: Leon is mostly deaf. He knows and responds well to hand signals. So far he has easily learned the signs for “sit”, “down”, “shake” and he is super treat motivated and very smart. If someone were to commit to daily positive reinforcement training, Leon would become a rock star of learning sign commands. Leon is learning to walk on a leash without thinking it’s more fun to use the leash as a tug-of-war toy. His favorite game is tug-of-war so this is a work in progress. Leon is a sweet wiggly fella who simply wants security and a happy home with someone who has experience with deaf dogs or a person who is committed to working with a trainer so that you both can have the best relationship possible.
An approved adopter will get a vibrating collar and if you are approved and live near Chattanooga you will also get 3 personal training sessions.
He is looking for his best friend to complete his life and have a person who will make him a priority.
