Update 12/16/19 – Layla has found her forever home!

Meet adoptable 8 month old dalmatian mix Layla who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish her, be her advocate, continue her positive reinforcement training/socialization and make keeping her safe a number one priority.

From her rescue advocates: Layla is an 8 month old, 40 pound Dalmatian mix. She was born deaf. Layla is very intelligent and has quickly learned sit, down, shake, lay, and sit pretty using hand signals. Since a deaf dog can’t hear you call, she has a vibrate collar so you can signal her to come to you. Layla is a curious puppy and explores with world with joy. She loves watching flies, crickets and squirrels. Layla walks nicely on a leash with a Gentle Leader and loves to run short distances beside a bike. Layla is still a pup so she needs exercise to burn off her puppy energy. When playtime is over Layla will happily curl up in a chair or beside the human she adores on the couch.

Layla barks when she sees something in her environment she doesn’t quite understand like a person she has never met up ahead and sometimes other dogs she sees on walks. Layla does well with other dogs and loves running and playing in the yard with her foster brother. Because Layla is deaf she requires a physically fenced yard. She would love to have a forever family who will continue to work on her sign language and love her forever.
Layla is housetrained, up to date on vaccinations, spayed, heart-worm tested, and micro-chipped.
