Kona is a very sweet and affectionate adoptable deaf lab/akita mix who is currently looking for a calm, low stress home where someone will make him part of the family, take him on walks, let him live as an inside dog but also give him access to a secure fenced yard where he can run and play (and stay safe). Kona would thrive in a home without children so he can relax (because children are very unpredictable).
Kona LOVES to go on walks and has great manners such as sitting when I stop and not pulling when wearing a collar.
When we aren’t outside, Kona likes to look out the window and people watch. He loves meeting people one on one and thinks everyone should pet him.
Kona doesn’t mind other dogs on our walks.
He currently knows the hand signals for sit, lay, gentle, and seems to know “shh.” He often looks at the person he’s with for a signal, but it’s really easy to get his attention when you need it just by moving into his peripheral vision and waving your hand.
Do you have a calm, low stress home and love walks? King Kona might be the right pup for you!
