Hi there! My name is Kiwi and I’m about as sweet as they come and I am looking for a new loving forever home. Why am I here? Well, I guess I got plenty of time to tell you!

I’m about a year and a half old, I’m a cattle dog mixed breed and that also means I’m SUPER smart! (I’m also really tiny, like 15-20 lbs!!) I already learned some sign language, like sit, lay down and stay. I love going for hikes and runs on the beach, I sure am a tiny little ball of energy! Don’t worry, after we go play I will snuggle with you for the rest of the day! I love giving hugs and I really enjoy getting belly rubs.

So, my dad is in the military. And he had to go work real far away and he told me I couldn’t come with. I was so nervous. “Where am I going to live? Who will feed me?” I thought to myself. My daddy asked every single person he knew and made lots of phone calls to see if anyone could let me stay with them. But no one wanted me.

Then he took me to SPARC (Santa Paula Animal Rescue Center) where I am currently staying! I really don’t mind it. We get to do all kinds of activities all day long, nap time is my favorite, and then they feed us really good food too! The people who work at SPARC are so nice to me, and all my new friends. I really like going on solo walks so that I get to spend quality time with my handler.

I would really like to live in a home where I won’t be alone very much. My dad used to take me EVERYWHERE with him! I’m used to being Velcro. If you work long hours, it might not be a good fit right now. I’m a real quick learner, but I need someone that is going to be able to keep up with me! If you like running, biking or hiking then we might get along just fine! Aside from my hearing, I don’t have any other medical concerns – “I’m as healthy as a horse.”

So what do you say….. Want to meet me? Call SPARC! 805-525-8609
