Meet adoptable deaf chihuahua Kali who is looking for a loving forever  home with someone who will cherish her and always keep her safe.

From her advocate: Kali and her brother are from a backyard breeder. She’s almost 3 years old, spayed and up to date on vaccinations. She’s very shy at first, but when she’s learned to trust, she’s a loving girl who will Velcro herself to her person. Kali will bark when a visitor arrives, but she settles down quickly. She had no experience with the outside before she came into foster.

Now she is used to wearing a collar and is okay on a leash. She gets along well with other dogs and with the three cats in her foster home. She is okay in a car if she can ride in someone’s lap. We think she’ll get used to the car, get better walking on a leash and become more social as she looses her fear. Unlike some fearful dogs, she shows no signs of aggression. She’s very food motivated and is smart.
Kali is not housebroken – not her fault, she was never taken outside. She does pretty well using a pad in the house. Taking her out frequently, and certainly when she wakes and before the household goes to be, will probably be all she needs to catch on quickly.
