Update 7/16/18: Jesse is an incredibly sweet and loving dog. She is housebroken and crate trained. She is smart and picking up on sign language. She is very eager to please. She gets along well with all people and animals. She absolutely loves the water.

Meet adoptable deaf, 5 year old, shepherd mix Jesse who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish her, continue her training, and always keep her safe. She is completely house trained, kennel trained and she gets along great with all types of animals and children. She knows quite a bit of sign language and she is an all around great dog.

From her current caregiver: Jesse spent the first 5 years of her life in a small pen with a piece of bent aluminum for shelter. She has no human or animal interaction. Her owner said she just didn’t listen (duh, shes deaf) and would run off. Since coming into my life I have watched her transform into a smart, willing and lovable companion.

Jesse is currently learning sign language commands. She enjoys the company of children and other dogs. She also likes cats. She needs a committed person to teach her about house training and going potty outside. She would do well with someone who will be active with her and continue using positive reinforcement training to help her to become the best deaf dog she can be.
