Meet adoptable deaf 1 year old hound/pit mix Finn who is looking for a loving home with someone who will cherish him, continue his training and always keep him safe. Finn would love to have a new BFF.

From the Finn’s current caregiver: Finn is a spirited, male, deaf, 1 year old pit and hound mix. He is neutered, house broken and gets along well with other dogs. He enjoys tug of war, chasing balls, and running. Finn doesn’t give up a ball easily when retrieving but can make a trade for a treat or another toy. He knows some basic commands and some hand signals as well. (Sit, stay, down, paw, and come.) Can be a bit mischievous at times by taking the belongings of humans and wants to be chased for them. He is used to living with older kids (16 and 18 years old) so a home with older kids would be better suited for him.

He can also nip at ankles when he doesn’t want playtime to end. He still has some puppy in him and loves to play. Finn can get very involved with chasing shadows and light and needs to be distracted to pull out of it. He has never been around cats, but would do very well in a house with another dog.

Finn was adopted from a shelter without knowing that he was deaf and due to some changes his current household we feel he would be better suited in a house where he would have more social interaction with people or other dogs. We truly love Finn and want him to find a caring forever home!

***Finn has a $150 adoption fee and an adoption application needs to be filled out completely to carefully screen each person interested in adopting Finn. Please email Wendy to send you a blank adoption application to fill out to be considered to be Finn’s new family. Thanks.
