Meet adoptable deaf Red Bone coon hound Ellie who is looking for a loving home with someone who has time to spend with her, love her and always keep her safe.
From her current caregiver: Ellie was on a local shelter site about a year ago sitting in her water bowl because of the heat. The picture stole my heart even though we already had 3 rescue dogs. We went and got her and had no idea she was deaf.
Once here it became clear she was. My husband had injured himself and was able to stay home with her until recently. He is back at work now so all the dogs spend a lot of time alone. This seems particularly hard for Ellie. She needs somewhere to run and to have more attention. She is extremely affectionate, playful and intelligent. She has the most beautiful eyes and has an inquisitive personality. She responds to really loud things like clapping. She gets along well with dogs, does not bark and is people friendly. Her adoption fee is $100 and you must live within a five hour driving distance. If you are interested in adopting her please email Lisa so she can send you a blank adoption listing.
