Meet adoptable four year old deaf dog Dustin who is currently looking for a loving forever home with someone who will love him and always keep him safe.
From the shelter: Howdy! My name is Dustin. I am a four year old pup from lower Alabama. My friends and I are not sure what kind of breed I am, but our best guess is hound mix. I am currently looking for my perfect match. I have been around the block, and have been in the system for a little over a year now. I know what I’m looking for and I am ready to settle down. Lets dive right in. My rescue friends saved me at the local animal control in Baldwin County. I have now been at the Humane Society ever since. When the Humane Society found me, they took me to the vet because they noticed I couldn’t understand them communicating with me. The vet thinks I was in some kind of accident that made me hard of hearing, and also my front paw is a little floppy.
Don’t worry because I don’t let either one limit me from living my best life. I am really into playing with other dogs. I could run around in the back yard for hours, but don’t get me wrong I also enjoy cuddling on the couch. I am highly treat motivated and love showing off my tricks. Unfortunately, I wish I could tell you where I came from so I could explain to you my one bad habit. My bad habit is I get very upset when other dogs get near my food bowl, so I will need to eat alone. Since Howdy is protective of his food (he should be fed inside his crate), it is not recommended to be in a home with children.
If you are interested in meeting me please reach out to my friends they can set up a date!
