Meet adoptable deaf dog Delilah who is looking for a loving home with someone who will be her best friend and always keep her safe.
From her rescue: Say Hi to Delilah! She is a joyful Double Merle Lhasa Apso and Australian Shepherd mix who is about 4 years old. She came to rescue after being left in a shelter. She was heartworm positive and has very recently completed her heart-worm treatment and now received a clean bill of health.
Delilah is deaf, although she can hear a few tones or sounds. She also has some minor vision issues in certain levels of light. Delilah doesn’t let that slow her down as you won’t meet a happier, bouncier pup!
Delilah is housebroken and crate trained and rides well in a car. She loves to play with all sorts of toys and will share them with her doggy friends. Delilah prefers other dogs that are not too large as they seem to intimidate her. She has done great with dogs up to 50 pounds. When she met some cats, she tried to give them a bath.
Delilah’s perfect family would continue to work with her on training with hand signals and her confidence on the leash. She will require a visible fence. Delilah could be happy in a home with a doggy friend or fine as an only dog too. She even enjoys the company of children as well.
Delilah will require monthly preventatives for heartworm, fleas and ticks. She is spayed and up to date on all vaccinations. If you are interested in Delilah or any of our other amazing dogs, please fill out an application at https://www.speakstlouis.com/forms/adoption-application/
