Meet sweet adoptable, 2 year old, deaf girl Coconut who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish her, become her new best friend, teach her new sign cues and always keep her safe. She was adopted a few months ago but the resident dog was very jealous of her and she was returned to the shelter.

Coconut is a beautiful little lady that was surrendered to a shelter because the was kept primarily outdoors and she kept escaping that enclosure. She very quickly became a staff favorite at the shelter. She loves people and has done really well with staff handling her. She has passed a very brief dog-to-dog test at the shelter, so that is a great sign that she may be able to do well with other dogs. However, we have recommendations we always ask adopters to follow for any dog introductions in a new home so that everyone stays safe. We always recommend slow, planned, monitored introductions to any people or pets in a home.
Coconut is playful, energetic, affectionate, and she has a great outlook on life. Please feel free to take a look at her short video (with clips of her in action and more photos): https://youtu.be/M_3d6Chiy2Q
