Meet adoptable deaf 7 month old bully mix Chip who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish him, make him part of the family, make daily positive reinforcement training/socialization/enrichment a priority and always keep him safe.
From his rescue advocate: Adoption is available for deaf puppy Chip to the following states only: NJ, NY, PA. Chip is an amazingly sweet deaf 7-month old pit mix who arrived from Louisiana when Pathway partnered with the Good Flights program ~ a division of Greater Good Charities.
When Chip was found abandoned on a staircase outside an apartment building, he was covered in red, painful skin and suffering from Demodex. His previous “family” probably didn’t know that Demodex is not contagious and cured with a few weeks of medicine baths and topical solution. It’s certainly their loss and our gain because as Chip heals, he is developing into the gorgeous boy that his rescuers knew he would be. We will post updated pics as his beautiful coat continues to shine.
But, a boy can’t get by on his looks alone….
Chip also has a sweet and gentle nature and loves everyone he meets. He is in a foster home with another dog, adults and children. His foster Mom said he was basically potty trained the day he arrived!
She said being deaf does not slow him down at all and also helps him take good puppy naps while the kids continue to make noise around him!
He likes to wrestle with his foster sister, get pets from his small human foster siblings and take a nice nap!
Chips neuter surgery is scheduled for the first week in Feb because the rescue was waiting for Chip’s Demodex to heal before doing surgery.
