Meet adoptable deaf, 1.5 year old Bowman who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will always cherish him and keep him safe.

From his advocate: Bowman is about 1 1/2 years old. He is a very loving and happy fellow. Poor Bowman has has some bad luck in his short life so far. He was found with a terrible case of mange down in Mississippi. Someone found him and took him to a vet’s office. Well instead of putting him down, they must of seen his wonderful personality and helped him thru this. Bowman was at the vet approximately 7 months. Most of his time was caged up. He was cured of his mange and sent to NJ to find his forever home!

Well Bowman ended up at a foster house where a few other dogs did not like him. They would growl but poor Bowman being deaf didn’t hear them and a fight would start. He has 12 stitches in his head because of this. (There are a few before and after pics) Bowman is very loving. He loves everyone he meets. He has a bit of a problem being on a leash if someone walks by him that he can’t get to.

He pulls and barks and struggles to get to them just so he could be friendly. He has no training at all because of his time in the vets office, so he is very hyper right now. Imagine being sick most of your young life, then being caged for 7 months then set free!!! Whoo Hoo!! Bowman is a very strong young fellow and being deaf he needs training. Right now he is with a trainer whose is trying to help him.
Bowman needs someone that knows and understands deaf dogs, and has alot of time and patience and love to give him. He is a great boy and really deserves a good life.
