Meet adoptable deaf 11 month old shepherd mix Bo who is looking for a loving person or family who will cherish him, understand his needs and always keep him safe.
From the shelter: BO is such a good looking boy! BO was born on 2/14/18. Because he is so smart he doesn’t let his deafness stop him! He loves to talk and sing. He has already learned sit and stay via hand signals! He uses a dog door. He loves to go for walks. He is leash trained, and loves to be active. He loves toys, and treats. He would love it if you taught him other things too! BO does need a securely fenced yard or to be on leash as he would not hear a car coming up behind him.
When we first got BO in August of 2018, he was very sweet and loving, over time the longer he has been at the shelter the more his behavior has declined, and gotten worse.. He is an extreme resource guarder, meaning he is overly protective of this food and treats. Because of this we suggest he be in an adult only home, or a home with older children. He is a Great dog if no food or treats around. He can be with other dogs, but would definitely need to be fed separately. He is an obsessive bed jumper.
The sky’s the limit with such a special dog that is so intelligent! BO is a happy and friendly and wants a loving home just like yours!
