Meet adoptable deaf Australian Cattle dog/Australian Shepherd puppy Birdie who is looking for a loving home with someone who will cherish her, make daily positive reinforcement sign training/socialization/enrichment a priority and always keep her safe.
From her rescue advocate: This ADORABLE baby girl is “Birdie”. She is about 8 weeks old and ready to find her forever person/family/home! She is a gorgeous light grey with the traditional Heeler patches and some ticking in her color. She’s the most beautiful pup from her rescue litter. Birdie is deaf or at the least has hearing impairment.
Birdie doesn’t know any different and lives her puppy life to the fullest! She loves to be held and played with like any pup! Birdie is seeking a home/person that has experience with a deaf dog and preferably history with Heelers – though neither is a total requirement just would make the transition easier. We will be requiring a home that either has lots of time to spend with her or will have the ability to take her to work, she will do best with a home setup to be with her people as much as possible! Birdie has received her initial vaccines and deworming. We are located in SW Virginia on the WNC border. Adoption contract will require proof of her spay. Apply today by clicking here.
