Meet adoptable, 11 month old, deaf dog Betsy who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will lover her and always keep her safe.
From Michelle: Can you handle these green eyes, pink speckled nose, and floppy ears? Meet Betsy! Betsy has a fun loving personality to match her looks. At 11 months old, she is still very much a puppy, learning how to be a dog. She is house trained, crate trained, and learning to walk on a leash. She knows the signs for sit, down, no, wait a minute, good, crate, eat, and outside. We are working on come and emergency recall. She does have some residual hearing; which means if you clap in a quiet environment, you get to see her cute ears in action. Betsy loves hanging out with her canine friends, but also likes some alone time to chew on antlers and cuddle with her person or people. Her hobbies include swimming in the baby pool, wrestling, and running at full speed around the yard.
Betsy’s ideal home would have a fenced yard, a canine friend or two, and people who are willing to continue her training and give her one on one time daily, until she is comfortable. She would do great with older children, but would need to be monitored closely with younger children, as she can be jumpy and mouthy at times. The jumping and mouthing have improved immensely with training and consistency, and are not major issues any longer. The good news is: her adoption comes with free training!
Betsy is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and on heartworm prevention. You can view her listing at lucascountypitcrew.com under the adoptable puppy section.
