Update 4/03/17:  From the shelter: Based on the advise of several experts and trainers for vision and hearing impaired dogs, we have decided to separate them and adopt them in to separate homes. Also they’re both good with cats.

Five month old deaf aussie mix puppies Alison and Amanda are looking for a loving forever home. The rescue would like both catahoulas to be adopted together.

More info from the rescue. Two sisters, Alison and Amanda are about 5 months old, up to date on all vaccines, heart-worm negative and on prevention, and microchipped too! Amanda is the smaller of the two sisters, and she is deaf, and can see only shapes and movement.

Alison is the larger of the two, and is deaf, but can see out of one eye. Amanda has learned to take her cues from her sister, watching her, and following her lead, and sometimes nudging her for guidance. They are very typical of puppies this age, and romp and play, and act as normal as any other puppy their age!
