This Friday is Take Your Dog To Work Day. This would be a great opportunity to take your deaf dog to work on Friday June 22, 2012 to bring awareness of the plight of deaf dogs and to educate and demonstrate how wonderful owning a deaf dog can be. If you have a well mannered dog that you could take to work on Friday June 22, 2012, I recommend you do so.
Be sure to check with your work prior to taking your dog into your place of employment to make sure it is allowed. You also want to make sure sure there is no one in your department that has dog allergies. If you do decide to take your dog to work, be sure to share and post photos of your deaf dog at your workplace on our Deaf Dogs Facebook Wall or even better if you can shoot a video on your phone and post it to FB and tag Deaf Dogs Rock in your post. Have fun and also remember a good dog is a tired dog so you might want to take your dog on a long walk before you get to the office and whatever you do, don’t forget your “poop” bags.

The 2012 event will take place on Friday, June 22. On this day, thousands of pet owners will work with their dogs to celebrate the 14th annual TYDTWDay.
In addition, the entire week, June 18-22, has been designated Take Your Pet To Work Week™. So, if your company is closed on Fridays or if you want to invite all types of pets, select any day during the week to host a special event at your workplace.
Pet Sitters International (PSI) invites your business to participate in this fun and worthwhile event. But, please celebrate the right way: focus on the fun employees and employers have, celebrate the value of pets in the workplace, and encourage pet adoptions.
