Update: 2-25-2013: Putt Putt has been ADOPTED!
Meet sweet Putt-Putt (and yes you can rename her if you adopt her – she looks more like Katiya the Catahoula dog to me). She is currently in Baton Rouge, LA. Every now and then, nature produces a one-of-a-kind dog special angle, and we think Putt Putt is one of those true originals! This super-sweet and friendly pooch was found as a stray and kept by a good Samaritan for several weeks, before being surrendered to the shelter. Putt Putt is between 1 and 2 years old, with white-blue eyes and unusual markings. She’s highly alert, intelligent, and responsive despite being totally deaf. This clever girl is house trained, and we’re happy to be able to say that Putt Putt has tested NEGATIVE for heartworm disease!
Putt Putt is a natural athlete, with a strong, muscular build, and she moves with grace and ease. Being a nimble and energetic pup, she would probably go straight to the head of any class in agility or obedience, as long as the signals are modified to accommodate her hearing-loss. When not in training, you can bet that this highly sociable canine would have a blast taking long walks or stretching her legs at the dog park! With adequate exercise, and continued training in doggie manners, Putt Putt is sure to be an ideal family member. Putt Putt is ready to bond with a caring, forever owner who appreciates the unique! So, if you’re active and looking for a canine companion like no other, She is a Catahoula/Dalmation mix about 1-2 years old. She is completely deaf but that does not stop her. She is full of life and personality! She loves to stomp the ground to feel the vibrations! She is fully vetted and spayed. She was in a kill shelter and about to be PTS so I pulled her out and am fostering before that can happen. Please consider giving Putt Putt a new forever home. An ideal home is a loving, patient family with a secure fenced yard and also a family that will allow this sweet girl to live inside with her “pack” so she can truly be one of the family.
