Meet beautiful and smart Nova ! She is under 1 year old pitbull and she is spayed. She has been in the shelter for a couple of months and it did take some time to discover she is deaf. It probably didn’t occur to the staff she was deaf because of color. Usually it is the white dogs with pink skin that are deaf so now that the shelter knows she is deaf we need to get her into a foster or forever home. What Nova really needs is her own person willing to be her advocate and spend some time trainer her and teaching her sign commands so she will grow up to have a good solid foundation and be the very best dog she can be. The Pitbull dog is one of the sweetest kindest dogs and can make great family dogs with the right socialization and training.
Because Nova is deaf it would be best for him to go to a family who has a fenced in yard for him to play in so he can stay safe.
More Information:Rabies will be required. UTD on other vaccinationsGood with some other dogs & kids. She does have a bit of jealousy. She likes to get all the attention for herself. She was found on 6/20 near Blockbuster in Peru, IN.Nova is such a sweet, quiet girl. Her personality comes out when she gets more comfortable in her surroundings. She is in desperate need of loving!
