Update 2-25-2013: Newton has been ADOPTED!
Newton was rescued out of an over flowing shelter in KC. He is approx 2 1/2 yrs old & DEAF. Newton does great with dogs of all sizes & cats. Very sweet boy. All of our dogs are current on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, fecal tested, heartworm tested, and they are all on heartworm and flea/tick preventative. The adoption process is an application, a vet reference, a home visit, and a lifetime contract. The adoption fee for this dog is $150.
Newton will need a special family or person willing to teach him sign commands, love him, be patient with him, and keep him safe. Since he is deaf it is important he lives inside with his family because deaf dogs do not do well isolated out back tied to a dog house or stuck in a kennel. He will need a safe area with a fenced yard to hang out and play in. If you think you can make a lifetime commitment to Newton then please contact Hands, Hearts and Paws in Omaha Ne.
We are willing to adopt out-of-state, contingent on our ability to complete a home visit, but you must travel to Omaha to complete the adoption. We do not transport or ship our dogs.
