Snowy – NV – ADOPTED

Snowy  has been ADOPTED.

Snowy is a deaf bull terrier mix. She is about 1.5 years old. When she was a puppy she was abandoned at a kill shelter in Las Vegas. It didn’t look good for her until she was adopted. The people who adopted her returned her less than a week later. The reason was that she was deaf and untrained. A second return to the kill shelter is not good, a third return is a death sentence.

Then she caught the eye of a local rescue, ahome4spot. She was pulled from the kill shelter and I took her in to my house as a foster. It was obvious that nobody had ever worked with her. My family and I began using handsignals right away and realized that she is very very smart. She was so willing to communicate with us that she learned a few handsignals in just a day. If she is clear across the yard all I have to do is point at her and then point at the ground in front of me and she immediately comes running over with a big smile on her face.

Snowy is very good with kids, she loves other dogs and walks.

At this point nobody in my family really notices anymore that she is deaf. She reacts to body language, energy, and facial expressions. Communicating with her is a pleasure because she is so attentive.

If anybody is intersted in adopting her, please email: ahome4spot@gmail.com or call Diana at 702-239-7986.
