Update: Kuda is still available for adoption.
Meet sweet and petite Kuda. Kuda is currently in Redding, CA. She is only a 2 yrs old female Aussie mix and she is spayed, current on all vaccs and approximately 18 lbs. Her first foster mom gave up on her and a kind Vet Tech named Lisa took her home to foster her. Here is what Kuda’s foster mom has to say about Kuda: She loves my son who is 6.2 and will sleep on his lap or between this legs in the recliner and on his bed at night. She also has been great with my granddaughter who is 3. She will chase cats if they run however if they show no interest then she is fine. I have chickens and horses and she has not been a problem. Once introduced to my personal dogs she fit right in (Chihuahua to 120 lb Land Whale). Kuda is currently in foster and she is looking for a forever home with someone who will take the time to train her with signs and also have a fenced yard.
The only issue we have had is getting a vehicle in or out of our front gate. This has happened 3 times, the first she just ran around the vehicle and then stopped for me to pick her up, the second she ran across the street and I was able to catch her behind a building. I was at work the third time she got out, and while she did take off down the road she returned 30 mins later, barking at the gate to be let back in. If I was to guess her breed I would say Deer Chihuahua and Queensland – she has the long legs of a Chihuahua and the Queensland markings. As we have never dealt with a deaf dog it has been a challenge, however she is a delightful little dog.
If you need additional information you can reach me at (530) 547-4153 or (530) 339-1105. We are located in Northern Calif just east of Redding. Thanks Lisa
