Update 8-28-2012: ADOPTED
8-8-2012: Nani did have an adoption application but the folks have not showed up to pick her up so she is now available for adoption again. I can’t imagine making it all the way through the adoption process and not going to meet and pick up a new puppy but I guess that’s just me. Someone else’s loss can be your gain! Meet sweet little Nani! Isn’t she just adorable? She is being fostered by our friend Anne Murphy. Anne is an awesome foster mom who does kick butt training videos (see her training videos at www.twodeafpitties.com) so you know little Nani here is learning all kinds of cool tricks with sign commands.
Nani is 15 weeks old (as of 7-8-2012) and she is a total smarty pants and sweetie pie. Nani is completely deaf but that doesn’t slow this smarty pants down one bit.
Nani is currently in foster care with Anne in Cleveland, OH. If you are interested in adopting Nani and can fill out an application and pass all the adoption requirements then transport can be arranged for someone who is not local. A home visit will be required with references on all long distant applicants.
If you have questions or need additional information, please contact Anne at murphyanne7@gmail.com
Here is an adorable video of Nani playing in her kiddy pool.

Hi, I’m interested in knowing more about this dog, Nani. My husband and I are deaf. We have a hearing child who also know how to sign. Would this dog be good around kids too? Also we have two cats too. How much is the adoption fee?
Thanks, Lena
Lena be sure to send Anne Murphy an email about his pup. Thanks! Christina Lee – Deaf Dogs Rock
I am sending this one all over Ohio. I have a small wildlife rescue in Fla. I am posting, mailing and doing everything I can to help your dogs..
we would really like to give nani her forever home. she would live with bronco, a 1yr, old dalmation/pit cross, who we adopted 5 months ago. we live in the burbs. have a large home and a fenced yard for the pups.we do have experience with signing to deaf dogs as our daughter rescued a deaf pit and we kearned from her. i think bronco is a very happy boy but would love to have a little sister to share things with. we will go to school and enjoy day care at least once a week. please consider us, we would love to adopy nani. thank you, kathi
Kathi-Jo, I just emailed your daughter so she should have more info for you- thanks for your interest!
