Update on 5-14-2012: Lilly has been ADOPTED! Congratulations Lilly. We hope your new family spoils your rotten!
Lilly is a Special Needs baby. She is deaf but very affectionate. She is available for adoption & has already received her shots & spay. Lilly is going to need a special home. Someone that is willing to work with and train her. She was adopted several weeks ago and because of the time commitment she needs she was returned to us.
We would really like to see her go to a home that has some experience with training a deaf dog or is willing to start attending puppy training class with her. Dogs are very capable of learning signs, however it will take that special person that has the time and patience to work with her. If you are interested in Lilly our viewing and adoption hours are Wed. to Sun. from 12pm to 5pm. — at Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter 1888 Colbert Danielsville Rd Danielsville, GA 706-795-2868.

Thank you so much for posting Lily’s story. The Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter was able to find a very special home for this sweet girl. Lily is already in her new home and her new loving family has already signed her up for Training Classes. If you would like to stay up-to-date with all of our “Happy Tails” please join us on Facebook at MOAS Pets. Thanks again for your support. Lily holds a special place in all of our hearts
