I was sent this link by one of our Deaf Dogs Rock readers and I have to say I think Huey is just beautiful. He is part of the Big Dogs Huge Paws Rescue and I think he is in Denver but his posting does not say what city or state he is in in this listing. If you want to know more about Huey, you will have to contact the rescue directly. I just got done reading the rescue’s guidelines and requirements for adopting one of their giant breed dogs and I have to say I am impressed with their requirements. They want you to have giant breed experience, attend training classes and also agree to return the dog to the rescue if things don’t work out.
Here is Huey’s listing, please share. Thanks! ~ Christina Lee – Deaf Dogs Rock
Huey – Great Dane – SPECIAL NEEDS (new to rescue – under evaluation)
Huey is a very handsome, 3 month old, mostly White, , Deaf, Harlequin male Great Dane with just a few black spots. Mister cutie patootie has come a long ways from wanding the streets as a stray with his littermates and is now enjoying the luxuries of being inside a home and part of a loving family! He is gaining confidence daily and catching on quickly to basic training and indoor manners. Huey is learning all about going potty outside and discovering that his crate is his safe place. He is also a big fan of treats and seems like a smart cookie so far! He gets along great with other dogs and cats in his foster home and will be getting lots of positive socialization. Huey is being introduced to toys and thinks they are pretty cool to chew on, but like all puppies, he’ll require regular supervision to keep him on the right track.
Giant Breed Experienced Homes Only.
