Update on 6-19-2012: Sweet Evan was adopted last week. He is in his new home and he learned some tricks fast the few times I worked with him. Congratulations Evan. We hope your new family keeps us updated on your progress. We love ya boy!
Evan is 100% boxer puppy. He is high energy and just wants to play. He needs to find a home with someone who will take the time to get him into training, teach him signs and also be patient through the puppy stages. He is a very fast learner. He already knows how to “sit”, “lay down” and “roll over” and he is just learning sign commands. We do not know if he is housebroken because he first came to the shelter on 4-15-2012. Then a lady here in Roanoke adopted Evan and as soon as her Vet told her he was deaf she went and dropped him back at the RVSPCA.
Evan is a stunning dog but he does need some work on training, loose leash walking and bite inhibition. He just got neutered so he is still temped to do a little humping but I am sure that will pass soon since he is just a puppy. If you have time, love, patience, commitment to make to Evan and a secure fenced yard, please go down to the RVSPCA and meet with Evan.
