Hokie – ADOPTED!

Update: 7-22-2012: Hocus Pocus aka Hokie has a new home and a new blog! To keep up with her on her mom’s new blog The Second Hand Dogs click here.

This sweet girl was taken to the Kent County SPCA in Camden, DE because her owner died. She is a 3 year old deaf Jack Russell Terrier. Can you imagine one day you are living your dream and the next day you are stuck at a shelter with all kinds of weird smells and vibrations. The pup doesn’t recognize anyone not even the food they are giving her. Although her owner passed away the shelter staff has tried calling members of the deceased family and no one will call them back. I guess they just don’t want to bother with a scared deaf dog that used to belong to someone they loved. This girl needs our help to find a new forever home. She will need a patient and loving family to live inside with her humans. She will also need a secure fenced yard unless she can be adopted by a retired person who can walk her often.
