CGC and Therapy Dog Wall of Fame

Deaf Dogs Rock wants to celebrate our deaf dog community members and their dogs by highlighting the deaf dogs who have earned their AKC Canine Good Citizen Award (AKC-CGC). The Canine Good Citizen Program is a two-part program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club.

We also want to take this recognition one step further for our deaf dog community members who after earning the AKC – CGC Awards, have gone on to pass their Therapy Dog Evaluations and are registered members of a Therapy Pet Programs throughout our the United States. By Deaf Dogs Rock also highlighting deaf Therapy Dogs Teams, we are celebrating the accomplishments of the highest level of dog training and ownership, giving back to our communities and also by educating the general public about opportunities for deaf dogs.
